Situation
The GroupWise 7.0 Service Pack 1 Hot Patch 1 has a regression defect that when applied, the gwia will ignore gateway aliases. If you create a gateway alias type on the gwia object and create an alias for a user, when sending mail through the gwia the alias is not used, instead the default internet domain name in Tools | System Operations | Internet Addressing.
As a result you may see "550 User Not Found" errors on the gwia screen.
