Situation
The collection
server remains in an Unavailable state even after stopping and
restarting the collection server service after applying Interim
Release 12.
Resolution
Fixed in
ZENWorks 7 Asset Management Interim Release 13 or
newer
Interim Releases can be
scheduled to run automatically or can be downloaded manually at
https://download.novell.com. The Interim releases can be set up
within the ZAM Manager for the Task server to check the site on a
scheduled basis, and download and apply them automatically. Please
refer to the Help Section details of how to set up automatic
downloads if desired.
Each interim release is cumulative. If the Interim Release is not available due to a newer interim release being placed on the website, be assured that the code needed is in the later release.
Additional Information
Collection
servers that are by themselves (no manager or task server on the
machine) are not updating when IR 12 is applied. The file
TFCLIB.DLL is not being copied, so the collection server will not
start. This is due to a flaw in the update file. TFCLIB.DLL is
designated to go to task servers and managers, but not collection
servers and it should be.
