Situation
Company logo
disappears from Web Console after applying Live Update. The live
update was rewriting the Tomcat4\webapps\rtrlet\brandinglogos
directory on the machine where the Web Console is
installed.

ZENworks Asset Management Interim Release 1 or newer
The logo is
now stored in the database, so it will not be lost during updates.The dialog for entering the logo has changed.
Rather than asking you to put the file on the server, it allows
browsing on the local machine for the file. It is then uploaded to
the server and put in the database. Every time the web console
server starts, it writes the file out to its branding logos folder,
so the URL to the file (which is embedded in various places) will
still work. Important note: IR 1 will delete the logo
file from the brandinglogos folder, and it will be lost, just like
in the past. This fix means that the next live update will not
delete the file. So after applying this patch, the user should use
the options dialog to reinstall their logo.
Interim Releases can be
scheduled to run automatically or can be downloaded manually
at https://download.novell.com. The Interim
releases can also be set up within the ZAM Manager for the Task
server to check the site on a scheduled basis, and download and
apply them automatically. Please refer to the Help Section for
details of how to set up automatic downloads if
desired.
Each interim release is cumulative. If Interim Release 1 is not available due to a newer interim release being placed on the website, be assured that the code needed is in the later release.
