Situation
iManager Banner information for a printer shows Auto Select, but should show NONE on the configuration, defaults (legacy) page under"manage printer."
Resolution
There are two known causes to this problem. These causes are separated below as 1 and 2:
Cause 1: Old iPrint plugin
Simply viewing the Printer Agent's Default page under the Configuration tab causes the banner value to be set to Auto Select.
Fix 1: Update iPrint Plugin
Apply the "iPrint Plug-in for iManger 2.5 & 2.6" dated 29 November 2006 or newer. This can be found at download.novell.com; select iPrint as the product, click search, and then select the plugin from the "products" page.
With the 29 November 2006 plugins you can (re)set the banner page to "none" and it will remain as "none."
Cause 2: Setting the "Lock" option next to the banner setting will inappropriately change the value from NONE to Auto Select.
Fix 2: Engineering has determined that this defect will not be fixed at this time.
Workaround 2: Manually set the option back to NONE.
