Novell iChain 2.3 Support Pack 5a
Situation
The government of Argentina approved a new law for saving energy.
This law took effect on December 30, 2007 at 12:00:00 AM and it
will end on March 16, 2008 12:00:00 AM.
Resolution
After December 30, 2007, the following procedure applies
a) LOAD DSTSHIFT (https://www.novell.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=3397648&sliceId=SAL_Public&dialogID=29069835&stateId=1%200%201290325) on an iChain SP5a server (recommended approach)
b) Using the iChain GUI, select System -> Timezone and make sure the following fields are populated accordingly:
SET Time Zone to be GMT-3 (Buenos Aires, Georgetown)
Enable the option 'adjust clock for daylight savings time'
Set 'next start' to be DECEMBER - time 12am - fifth - Sunday)
Set 'next end' to be MARCH - time 12am - Third - Sunday
Apply the changes.
