The admin user's default surname (sn) attribute is not consistent across platforms

Situation

The default Surname (SN) value for the admin user upon creation of a tree varies depending on the platform upon which that tree is built. The first server in the tree creates the admin user's Surname as 'admin' if the platform is NetWare but for all other platforms creates the Surname as a single ascii space.

Resolution

Change the admin's surname in any tree that was original created with a platform other than NetWare. This has also been reported to Novell Engineering.

This has been resolved in eDir 8.8SP3
