Situation

The following messages are displayed in the ndsrepair when running an ndsrepair -R or ndsrepair -U.

CN=user948.OU=ABC.OU=Customers.O=Foo.T=Company.

Running an ndsrepair -R -d yes to rebuild the database doesn't resolve the error messages.

When another ndsrepair -R or ndsrepair -U is run after a day or two, the objects that received the previous messages no longer are reported. A new set of objects may be displayed.

Resolution

This issue is cosmetic.

The errors are reported in ndsrepair because the referenced object's attribute has been removed but it is still present in flaim with a flag of NOT_PRESENT.

This will be cleared after a full sync between server occurs.

The issue is fixed in the first Field Test File (FTF1) for Novell eDirectory 8.8 Support Pack 2.
