Message Transfer Agent does not authenticate to eDirectory

Situation

Symptoms:
In Console One select GroupWise System goto- Tools-GroupWise Systems Operations-eDirectory User Synchronization and then when click on change assignment , the concerned MTA wont be listed there.

Resolution

Corrective Actions:
In the MTA start up file add the /user /password switch.

Additional Information

This was noted in a 2 tree environment where there was one domain in each tree . One of the MTA's was authenticating fine but other was not.This was observed when authenticating to either of the Trees
