Middle Tier server is not forwarding remote control communications.

When a home user initiates a Remote Control request to the a help desk computer, the 1762 remote control traffic is going directly to the help desk computer and is not being forwarded through the middle tier server. Since port 1762 is only opened to the middle tier server the remote control session is failing.


The middle tier server is not designed to proxy remote control traffic.
The use of VPN software on the home computer should allow the computer to connect into the corporate network without needing to open port 1762.
Additionally, port 1762 could be opened on the firewall.
