Situation
Using a mixed node cluster (NetWare and OES 2 Linux) you would see
the following error when loading evmsgui.
"Engine: engine_user_message: Message is: Engine: The plug-in Novell-NCS in module /lib/evms/2.5.5/ncs-1.0.0.so failed to load. The plug-in's setup_evms_plugin() function failed with error code 1: Operation not permitted."
You may also see a warning letting you know you are in a mixed cluster environment.

Resolution
In OES 2 Linux there is a check when the novell-ncs plugin loads
looking for the Novell Cluster Revision if it is less than 281 then
you will get this error. The NCS Revision is an attribute of
the cluster object.
The fix is to get all nodes to OES 2 Linux and that will update the revision number and then you can do your evmsgui operations.
This was added to prevent the possibility of data loss as the NetWare media manager does not communicate with linux EVMS.
