Situation
Upgraded to eDirectory 8.8

Resolution
Possible Solutions:
In the Tree field, instead of putting the tree name, use the IP address of the iManager server.

Verify the NMAS version. If eDirectory 8.8.x is installed, then NMAS should be version 3.x. The above error messages could happen if NMAS 2.x is loaded with eDirectory 8.8.x.
You may need to add a new environment variable to the server called NDSD_TRY_NMASLOGIN_FIRST. See TID 7001244 for more details.
Verify GAMS is installed. (In one case gams.nlm was missing. Restoring this file, resolved the problem.)
