Situation
Need the ability to step through an ncf or loadstage commands line
by line.
Resolution
The kf8 switch gives the ability to step through the load sequence
of nlms. ** Please note that this switch loads one nlm at a
command but allows any auto-loading of nlms to load with the
calling nlm. Commonly the kf8 switch is used at a DOS prompt
to start the server and enable loading one nlm at a time. In
addition, the "kf8 on" command can be entered at the console and
will begin stepping through the load sequence from that point
on.
Additional Information
A typical usage of the kf8 on switch would be if the server has a
problem in the autoexec.ncf and stepping through that ncf file is
desired. The server can be started with "server -na" so that
the server stops just before loading the autoexec.ncf. At
that point the "kf8 on" switch can be issued at the console
enabling the server to process the autoexec.ncf file line by
line.
