Unable to save changes in WebAdmin for NetMail

Environment

Novell NetMail 3.52
Novell SLES 9
Novell OES
Novell NetMail on Linux

Situation

Unable to save changes in WebAdmin for NetMail
Cannot define Contexts on the NMAP agent.
Unable to set Managed Contexts on NetMail agents.
Cannot create users, users not created when selecting save.

Resolution

Recreate Netmail objects by running the Netmail update / install again while logged in with a user having appropriate rights to create the Web Administrative Server object. (this is a install over the top of the existing install.)
The following comman is for running the update again from linux server:
/opt/novell/bin/webadmin -install
(note: this user needs to have appropriate rights to NDS to create the objects Netmail will need.)

This will place a " Web Administration Server" object in the top "O" for the tree. You will then need to restart WebAdmin with the following command:

/etc/init.d/novell-webadmin restart


Additional Information

During the install or upgrade of NetMail software the context specified for the WebAdmin object was not valid, there for the WebAdmin object was not created. This can happen if the user account in which you were logged in with did not have enough rights to create this object at the time the install or update was being run.
