Situation
Trying to install Novell Identity Manager 3.0.1 from a Windows
workstation generates the following error.
" An installation of eDirectory 8.7.3 or later was not
found. Novell Identity Manager cannot be installed
without eDirectory. Please install eDirectory before
installing Identiy Manager. "
Novell Identity Manager is looking for a local copy of
eDirectory on the workstation in order to install the Metadirectory
Server and cannot find it.
Resolution
1. Install eDirectory 8.7.3 or later on the Windows
Server and run the Metadirectory Server install there.
2. Or Mount the Novell Identity Manager CD on NetWare
server running eDirectory 8.7.3 and run the install from
NWCONFIG or the GUI Install.
