NetWare 6.5 DNS: Unable to "LOAD NAMED -V CLUSTER_VOLUME"

Situation

"LOAD NAMED -V CLUSTER_VOLUME" results with the following error messages in the SYS:\NAMED.RUN file:
general: dns/db: critical: eDirectory login failed with error -603
general: dns/db: critical: Failed to load RRs of a zone with error -603
general: dns/hints: warning: Loading Root data from directory Failed
general: dns/db: debug 1: Virtual ncp server fdn is CN=CLUSTER_SERVER.O=novell
general: dns/db: info: Unable to get configuration from eDirectory failed with error 67'
general: server: info: DNS Server Object does Not exist
general: server: debug 1: load_configuration: (result code text not available)
general: server: critical: loading configuration: (result code text not available)
general: server: critical: exiting (due to fatal error)
general: server: info: shutting down
general: main: notice: exiting

"LOAD NAMED" loads properly but does not save the zone .db files on the clustered volume.

Resolution

Cause:
Virtual NCP server object did not have the required DNS attributes.

Fix:
Delete and recreate the DNS server object for the virtual NCP server. This will create all the required DNS attributes.

or

Ensure the following 2 attributes are present on the virtual NCP server object:
"DNIP:LocatorPtr"
-This value should equal to the FQDN of the DNS-DHCP locator object.

"DNIP:DNS Server Reference"
-This value should equal to the FQDN of the DNS server object for the virtual server.
