Situation
"Printer State" value returned by iPrint printer information page is inconsistent
Garbage characters appear for Printer State from default ipp page.

Resolution
This has been reported to Novell Engineering.
Workaround:
Restart the Print Manager.
- This problem occurs only when loading the Print Manager on server boot-up. If the Print Manager is restarted ("rcnovell-ipsmd restart" or through iManager), then the problem is not present.

This is a bug. The IPP server queries the Printer State attribute from the Print Manager database incorrectly.
Steps to reproduce:
1. http://[ip_address_of_iprint_linux_server]/ipp
2. Click the "i" button (information button) for any printer agent.

You will see the Printer State to be garbage characters, blank, PCL, or PostScript. Close the window and try again. You will see a different value for the Printer State each time.
