Environment
Situation
Should you be able to put HTML
into an e-mail that uses the template? Driver has chosen HTML as
the type of template but the HTML entered from the policy (to
be used as part of the message body in the e-mail template) is
showing up directly in the message the customer receives. In this
case they are trying to use break (
) tags to insert
newlines.
The policy being used has the text
for the tag as '
' which is how it should be
represented in the driver's XML but once it was put in the
e-mail they want it to show as '
' properly and then the
destination client would put in a newline.
Resolution
You can't do it via policy or XSLT. What you could do is create the entire HTML email in policy. The best option would be to use Designer, which has a multi-line edit field for the text token. You would need to be aware that if any dynamic data you are using has characters in it that would need to be escaped in HTML like < and&.
