Environment
Novell SecureLogin
NSL 6.x
NSL to Citrix passthrough fails on some workstations, works on others.
Situation
NSL to Citrix passthrough fails on
some workstations, works on others.
Users prompted for a password when running published
appllications.
Resolution
The problem seems to be in the interaction of the "Citrix Single Sign On” provider and the network provider used to login (in this case NetWare Services). Moving them away from each other in the provider list seems to resolve the problem.
The same problem has been observed between the SecureLogin provider, SLCredman, and the Citrix Single Sign On” provider, pnsson. Moving these two away from each other in the provider list also helps. Note that Slcredman is only used with NSL installed in Active Directory mode.
Troubleshooting Notes:
Changing the provider order fixed the problem on two problem
workstations.
MACHINE ONE originally had this
order:
NetWare Services
Microsoft Windows Network
Microsoft Terminal Services
Web Client Network
Citrix Single Sign On
Problem was resolved by switching Windows with Terminal services.
MACHINE TWO originally had this
order:
Novell NetIdentity Credential Provider
NetWare Services
Microsoft Windows Network
Microsoft Terminal Services
Web Client Network
Citrix Single Sign On
Problem was resolved by changing the
order to:
NetWare Services
Novell NetIdentity Credential Provider
Microsoft Terminal Services
Microsoft Windows Network
Web Client Network
Citrix Single Sign On
Anecdotal observations:
1. NetWare Services must precede Novell NetIdentity Credential Provider
2. Microsoft Terminal Services must precede Microsoft WIndows Network
