Environment
Novell iPrint for NetWare
Situation
If you 1) apply NDPSM.NLM dated October 2006 or later to a server
running NDPS/iPrint, then 2) back rev the NLM to an earlier
version, the server will ABEND during the load of the Print
Manager. The SYS:\SYSTEM\ABEND.LOG will contain information
similar to what is shown below:
Page Fault Processor Exception (Error code 00000000)
EIP in DPLSV386.NLM at code start +0002245Ah
Running process: NDPSM_Main Process
Thread Owned by NLM: NDPSM.NLM
The CPU encountered a problem executing code in DPLSV386.NLM. The problem may be in that module or in data passed to that module by a process owned by NDPSM.NLM.

Resolution
Fix #1: Re-apply NDPSM.NLM dated October 2006 or later.
or
Fix #2: Recover the Print Manager database to a version dated before the date that you applied the October 2006 NDPSM. Follow the "Recover database from backup" section from KB 10092230 for steps to do this.
CAUSE:
NDPSM.NLM dated October 2006 or later changes an attribute on the database that cannot be understood by earlier versions of NDPSM.NLM.
