Situation
Linux Access Gateway configured to accelerate back end Web server.
Can authenticate and access protected resources successfully. When
making any changes to the rewriter configuration (changing internal
or custom rewriter profile), the changes are only applied
after
- purging all objects from cache (cache clear operation in nash) and
- restarting the proxy services (/etc/init.d/novell-vmc restart)
Failure to do so will result in all rewriter changes not being applied to the system

Resolution
Post Access Manager Interim Release 1 builds of the LAG will have
this fixed. The current workaround however is to create a .rewriter
file in the /var/novell (touch /var/novell/.rewriter). With this
file created, all changes will be applied immediately.
