Situation
Symptoms
When two or more uses access the database the application
hangs.
Only one user can access the data without a hang
occurring.
Customer has a database and application running on OES Linux
NSS and Reiser
volumes , after saving a record and starting a timer in the application the
application will hang on the workstation.
Failure to release record lock on ncp function 30 with error 8980 in LAN Trace
volumes , after saving a record and starting a timer in the application the

Resolution
This issue is resolved in novell-ncp-5.0.1-60 or later which is
available on the OES Red-Carpet channel
