Situation
SMS backups and restores of nss volumes on OES2 Linux appeared to
work fine, but on restore, none of the trustee assignments for the
nss volumes would be there. The tape software does not matter. If
the trustee assignment is given to the directory then the directory
is backed up, then deleted and restored, the trustee assignments
would be missing. There were no errors in the tape software
logs indicating a problem restoring trustees. This problem only
happened after updating to edirectory 8.8 sp2. The problem could
not be duplicated on previous versions of edirectory.
Resolution

libtsafs.so.0.0.48
Copy the file to
/opt/novell/lib after saving the original libtsafs.so.0.0.48. Then
restart smdrd.
