Unable to import to a SLES 9 SP3 backend server

Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management on Linux Support Pack 1 - ZDML7 SP1 Automatic Workstation Import
Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 Support Pack 3 - SLES9 SP3
Novell ZENworks for Desktops 3.2 Support Pack 3 - ZfD32 SP3
Novell ZENworks Desktop Management 7 - ZDM7

Situation

Unable to import workstation after upgrading to ZDM 7 SP1
When manually attempting to import the following error occurs:
ERROR: 12002

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, see KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at Novell Support

Workaround: do the following.
  1. Download the ZDM 7 SP1 ConsoleOne snapins fromNovell Download page.
  2. Copy the new snapins to the administrator's workstation where ConsoleOne resides.
  3. Delete the Server Package.
  4. Re-create the Server Package with the new snapins.

Additional Information

The cause is the Server Package was created with ZfD32 SP3 ConsoleOne snapins.
