EMC PowerPath
Situation
Symptoms: LUNs greater than 2000 GigaBytes accessed via
PowerPath randomly deactivate. LUN access
instability subsequently causes dependant NSS pools to
randomly deactivate.
Resolution
Corrective Actions: A LUN must be 2000 GigaBytes or
less in size to enable proper LUN access through
PowerPath
Additional Information
Notes: With out EMC PowerPath enabled, the total capacity limit of
NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 5 SCSIHD.CDM is 2048 GigaBytes minus 512
bytes. Therefore the maximum usable LUN size for NetWare
6.5 Support Pack 5 without PowerPath should be less then
or equal to 2048 Gigabytes minus 512 bytes.
