Situation

Error: Out of memory. There is not enough memory to complete this operation.

Resolution

This error may be the result of a known problem with Vista. In that case, Microsoft has a patch available, documented in KB 942435,"Error message when you try to copy files from a Windows Vista-based computer to another computer by using Windows Explorer:"Out of memory There is not enough memory to complete this operation"."

As of 15Oct2007, one must submit a request to Microsoft Online Customer Services to obtain the hotfix.
