Executing 'xm console DomU' does not provide login prompt

Situation

When executingxm create NAME_OF_DomUorxm console NAME_OF_DomUno login prompt is available. XEN packages being invoked are on the latest patch level.

Resolution

Add the following options to the extra='' line of the DomU config file in /etc/xen/vm/:
extra='TERM=XTERM xencons=tty1 console=ttyS0'
