Situation
Cluster status shows a resource in NDS Sync
The resource in NDS Sync was not created by the administrator
The resource in NDS Sync does not appear in ConsoleOne nor in Novell Remote Manager
The name of the phantom resource was CN

Resolution
Take the resource offline as you would any real resource, this
needs to be done at the server console.
Using Novell Remote Manager or ConsoleOne select the Cluster object, go to properties | priority.
Change the priority of any resource, save the change now go back and put restore the resource to it's original priority.
Confirm the the resource no longer appears by typing:
Cluster status
at the server console.
