Situation
An attribute with a date value set to NULL displays as Dec 31, 1969. These attributes include Login Expiration
time and password expiration time (not very likely). The
value most likely would be set to Null with Identity Manager or
LDAP.
The value shows in ConsoleOne as stated above. Value
shows blank in either iManager, or iMonitor
Resolution
This is a cosmetic issue and is working as designed. An
enhancement request has been made to engineering, but may
never get implemented. The problem is that
the attribute is written in eDirectory as value + Dec 31,
1969. In this case 0 + Dec 31, 1969 = Dec 31, 1969
(this being the usual start date used in programming and databases,
including eDirectory which uses timestamps of the number of seconds
since that moment - more usually displayed as 00:00:00 01/01/1970
).
