Situation

How to use worklist handler.

Resolution

If a work item is assigned to a group, this work item will be available for acceptance by anyone in the group. All work items need to be accepted before working on them. When accepting a work item, this work item will not be available for acceptance by others.

The WorkList Handler lists the work items that are assigned to a person or a persons group.

The four default activities associated with iTRAC are:

  • Assign a user or role to the activity
  • Perform data collection
  • Perform data containment
  • Eradication

Accepting Activities via the right-click option 1.

Within the Worklist, right click on a work item (within Work Items or on an iTRAC Incident) and perform the following:

  • Accept (when the process is in an Accept step)
  • Details
  • Associated Incident

Perform Data Collection (as the assigned user)

  1. (Optional) Open the Process Monitor for the iTRAC Incident.
  2. If not already open, double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  3. As the assigned user, accept the iTRAC Process by:
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click Accept.
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click the down arrow and select True to verify acceptance of Incident assignment.
  • Click Complete.

  1. When ready to start collection of data:
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click the Accept button to confirm start of data collection.
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click the down arrow and select True to confirm start data collection.
  • Click Complete.

  1. When in process of viewing collection results:
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click the Accept button to start viewing data collection.
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • To confirm collection of data, click Complete

Data Containment (as the assigned user)

  1. If not already open, double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  2. As the assigned user, accept start containment:
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click the Accept button to accept start of data containment.
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click the down arrow and select True to confirm start of data containment.
  • Click Complete

  1. When ready to view containment results:
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click the Accept button to accept view containment.
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click Complete when finished viewing containment results.

Data Eradication (as the assigned user)

  1. If not already open, double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  2. When ready to eradicate:
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click Accept button to accept the start of eradication.
  • Click the down arrow and select True to confirm start of eradication.
  • Click Complete.

  1. When ready to view eradication results:
  • Double-click on the iTRAC Incident.
  • Click Accept button to accept the start of viewing your eradication results.
  • Click Complete to confirm completion of viewing and eradication.
