Kernal panic when pxe imaging machines with 865 and 915 intel motherboards

Novell Zenworks Desktop Management 7 - Service Pack 1
Novell Zenworks Desktop Management 7 - ZDM7 PreBoot Services (PXE)

Situation

PXE imaging process does not complete and fails with error:
Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown block (9,3)

This error occurs when applying only the imaging resource files listed asZDM7SP1_HP4a_20070503_Img_Resource_Files.zipand not all of Hot Patch 4 for Zenworks Desktop Management 7 - Service Pack 1

Resolution

Machines that have the 865 and 915 intel motherboards with 512MB of RAM and SATA hard drives need to have added 256MB of RAM to them and pxe imaging will work. Applying ZDM SP1 Hot Patch 4 and not just the imaging resource files will fix the issue as well.
