Situation
Symptom:
GWIA fails to start
GWIA does not start
GWIA does not start with "/etc/init.d/grpwise start" command
ERROR: "startproc -u root -f -t ***** -p /var/run/novell/groupwise/domainName.GWIA.pid /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/bin/gwia @gwia.cfg >& /dev/null No such File or Directory
ERROR: "Segmentation Fault" while starting GWIA manually
GWIA fails to start
GWIA does not start

Resolution
Corrective Steps:
1. Launch Shell Konsole on the Linux Server
2. Type "cd /var/run/novell/groupwise" without quotes and press Enter
3. Type "ls" without quotes and press Enter
4. Delete domainName.GWIA.pid file if it exists by typing "rm domainName.GWIA.pid" without quotes and press Enter

3. Type "ls" without quotes and press Enter
4. Delete domainName.GWIA.pid file if it exists by typing "rm domainName.GWIA.pid" without quotes and press Enter
Additional Information
For some reason, the GWIA agent was not able to delete the existing
pid file and was not able to create a new one causing the above
error
