Sentinel 6.0.xx Sentinel Control Center
Situation
Sentinel 6 did not ship with complete help files in the Sentinel
Control Center (SCC) or the Sentinel Collector Builder. While
the help files and documentation are all available online a
customer may want to have these physically in the Sentinel
installation. The instructions inside the SCC and below
describe how to do this.
Resolution
To install the most recent Sentinel Control Center help files,
follow this procedure:
Close the Sentinel Control Center (SCC).
Go to $ESEC_HOME/lib or %ESEC_HOME%\lib and back up the existing eSentinelHelp.jar file.
Go to https://www.novell.com/documentation/sentinel6.
Download the most recent help files from the Sentinel Control Center Help link.
Unzip the file and place eSentinelHelp.jar in the following directory on the Sentinel Control Center machine: $ESEC_HOME/lib or %ESEC_HOME%\lib.
Reopen the Sentinel Control Center.
Repeat on any other machines with Sentinel Control Center installed.
To install the most recent Sentinel Collector Builder help files, follow this procedure:
Close the Sentinel Collector Builder.
Go to $ESEC_HOME/lib or %ESEC_HOME%\bin and back up the four existing Wizard* files(Wizard.hlp, Wizard.log, Wizard.cnt, and Wizard.gid).
Go to https://www.novell.com/documentation/sentinel6.
Download the most recent help files from the Collector Builder Help link.
Unzip the file and place Wizard.hlp, Wizard.log, Wizard.cnt, and Wizard.gid in the following directory on the Sentinel Control Center machine: $ESEC_HOME/bin or %ESEC_HOME%\bin.
Reopen Collector Builder.
Repeat on any other machines with Collector Builder installed.
