String Substitution Failed message when installing ZESM server

Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server

Situation

Install the ZESM Single Server. During install ERROR: String Substitution Failed
After clicking OK on the error message (the ZESM server install will abruptly stop without warning)

Resolution

  1. Browse to C:\program files\Novell and delete the ESM Single Server Folder.
  2. Reinstall the ZESM Single Server Install

Additional Information

This error message is a result of a previous failed install or residual files left from a bad install.
