Situation
After some days of activity it was noticed that Novell Audit had
many open connections to the Oracle database saturating and
rendering it inaccessible.
There was sufficient disk space available to Oracle Server to handle any incomming data.
Nproduct.log contained amongst others -the following error :-

Resolution
Upgrade to Oracle jdbc Client 10.2
