Situation
Symptoms:
Appointments more than 2 weeks in the future do not download to the Outlook Express client using POP3 protocol.
Appointments less than 2 weeks in the future do download to the Outlook Express client using POP3 protocol.
Any future appointment will download to the Outlook Expressclient using IMAP4 protocol.
Outlook Express client is configured using POP3 protocol and pointed to the GroupWise Internet Agent (GWIA).
No errors appear on the GWIA log files when the future appointments fail to download to the Outlook Express client.
Resolution
Workaround Steps:
Setup the Outlook Express client to use the IMAP4 protocol rather than POP3.

Steps to Duplicate:
1. Configure Outlook Express for POP3 pointing to the GroupWise Internet Agent (GWIA) version 7.
2. Login with a user to GroupWise 7 Client.
3. Send an appointment which is more than 2 weeks in future.
4. Login to Outlook Express client as the same user and download mail from GroupWise. You wont be able to see the
appointment in Outlook Express.
5. Again login to the GroupWise Client and send an appointment which is less than 2 weeks.
6. Login to Outlook Express and download. You will be able to see the appointment.
2. Login with a user to GroupWise 7 Client.
3. Send an appointment which is more than 2 weeks in future.
4. Login to Outlook Express client as the same user and download mail from GroupWise. You wont be able to see the
appointment in Outlook Express.
5. Again login to the GroupWise Client and send an appointment which is less than 2 weeks.
6. Login to Outlook Express and download. You will be able to see the appointment.
