DTS.LOG just keeps growing

Novell ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management Support Pack 2 - ZDM6.5 SP2 Imaging
Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP1 Imaging

Situation

On NetWare, sys:system\dts.log is a transaction server log, but there's no way to disable it. TID 3112868 has details of how to enable this log for Windows, but no information about NetWare.

Resolution

For ZDM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 with SP1 Desktop Management, available at https://download.novell.com

For ZSM6.5 SP2: fixed in ZENworks 6.5 Server Management SP2 IR1a Hot Patch 1 found at https://download.novell.com

For both solutions, DTS.INI has a new option to enable/disable logging, but since DTS.INI is not overwritten during an upgrade, it may be necessary to add the setting manually with the following:

# To Enable and Disable Logging (default = 0 Logging disabled).
MustLog=0
