Situation
Customer built a VM for the
Linux Access Gateway and patched it to the SP1 beta 1 code level.
It was tested out by creating a protected resource out of
www.novell.com with a Name/Password Form contract and this worked
fine. Customer then tried to create a new proxy service with
another protected resource, again with the Name/Password Form
contract type and the gateway went into a pending status from which
the administrator could not recover.
Resolution
Increase memory allocation for VM to match the minimum requirements
of 2GB RAM. The VM that was hung in a
pending state was built with 1024 of memory and NAT for
networking.
