Situation
iManager is running very slow. When clicking on the "View Objects"
button in the top frame it may take 30 seconds or more for the
next dialog to open.
Resolution
The cause in this case is due to the iManager server does not have internet access. iManager is trying to access
download.novell.com to get the last patch list and must time
out. If this is the cause then this feature of iManager
needs to be disabled.
1. Log in iManager.
2. In the top frame select the button "Configure".
3. Select "iManager Server/Configure iManager" in the
left frame.
4. Select the tab "Plug-in Download".
5. Uncheck the option "Query Novell download site for new
Novell Plug-in Modules (NPM)" and click save.
6. Log out of iManager then log in again.
iManager should now display the second dialog
much faster.
