Situation
The ndsd.log file is contantly being written to with the error: "Received invalid signal -1." Eventually it consumes all disk space on /.
Resolution
The error was
being returned by an eDirectory background process due to
eDirectory being run on an unsupported platform. eDirectory
was running on Suse Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) Version 8
64 bit. eDirectory 8.7.3 is supported on SLES 9 64 bit only
if patched to 8.7.3.8. There will be no support for
eDirectory running on SLES 8 64 bit.
