NetWare 6.5 DNS: error: internal_connect: connect() Software caused connection abort

Situation

The following error is displayed in the DNS server screen:
error: socket.c:3215: unexpected error:
error: internal_connect: connect() Software caused connection abort
DNS name resolution works otherwise.

Resolution

Cause:
"Connection abort" corresponds to the winsock "WSAECONNABORTED (10053) Software caused connection abort", which was not mapped to a corresponding ISC/DNS error code.

Fix/Workaround:
NetWare 6.5 SP6's NAMED.NLM includes the correct error mapping thus not producing the mentioned errors.

Additional Information

Without the NAMED.NLM from NetWare 6.5 SP6, these messages can be safely ignored as they are not known to cause any type of DNS name resolution failure.
