Situation
New installation of Identity Manager 3.01 on Solaris 9. eDirectory
8.8 sp1 has already been installed. When running the install script
and selecting option 1 : Metadirectory Server. the following
error is returned.
eDirectory not found

eDirectory 8.7.3 or later has to be installed on this system to install the Identity Manager install set.
The ndstat command confirmed that eDirectory was installed.

Resolution
The ndsconfig get command showed that no port number was assigned
to the nds interface, just an ip address.
Assigning an ip address and port 524 to the nds interface with the command
ndsconfig set n4u.server.interfaces=@524
corrected the problem and allowed Identity Manager to be installed successfully.
