Newly created LUN's do not appear using IBM Shark

Environment

Novell NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 5

Situation

After creating new LUN's they would not appear to NetWare until a reboot. Scanning for new
devices or any type of refresh failed to resolve problem.

Resolution

Unfortunately Novell has not been able to test or reproduce this problem without
IBM supplying a Shark for testing. We have been provided with a workaround from
Qlogic. The only way to get newly created LUN's to appear beside rebooting is to disconnect
the fiber from the HBA for approximately 3 seconds. Upon reconnection the new LUN's are
visible to NetWare.
