Situation

Unable to enable a ZENworks policy package

Can not get check mark to stick when enabling a ZENworks Automatic Workstation Import policy

ERROR: Internal error 0xFFFFF9BE occurred.

0xFFFFF9BE error occurs when attempting to login to an eDir on Windows via ConsoleOne or the Novell Client.

Resolution

See KB 10092911 in the Novell Knowledgebase that recommends uninstalling the NMAS client that the Novell Client installation installs by default, or configuring NMAS on the server. Restart the workstation and reload ConsoleOne after following the steps in KB 10092911. The policy package can now be enabled.
