Situation

Modifying GUID in Application Object resets the "Show Progress" attribute but Manage Distribution GUIDS in Tools menu does not.

Resolution

For ZDM6.5 SP2: fixed in ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management SP2 IR1 or newer found at Novell Downloads

For ZDM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 with SP1 Desktop Management, available at Novell Downloads

Additional Information

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. Create an app like Notepad
  2. Uncheck the Show Progress
  3. Apply
  4. Click the Modify GUID button and have it automatically generate a new GUID.
  5. Apply
  6. Close the Application Object and reopen it
  7. Notice the Show Progress is checked again.
  8. Now do the same thing but through the Tools | ZENworks Utilities | Application Launcher Tools | Manage Distribution GUIDS and it does not do this.
