Novell NetWare 6.5 with SP5 in a Cluster using a HP SAN and
SecurePath
Situation
One node in the cluster could see all the pools just fine, but the
other nodes could not see certain pools. Partfix on these
other servers reported the error: "ERROR: Partition size
exceed device capacity".
Resolution
This error message often indicates that a driver has been changed
which reports the drive capacity differently. In this
case the CPQSHD.CDM and QL2300.HAM drivers were consistent on all
nodes. The problem turned out to be a difference with the
Secure path HPQSP.CDM modules. The servers that did not see
the capacity properly was running version 0.10.25 dated January 14,
2004. While the server that was working was running version
0.11.25 dated June 30, 2004. Make sure all nodes are running
the current release of this module.
