Error launching ZPM Control Panel applet

Novell ZENworks Patch Management 6.3 - ZPM6.3 Agent

Situation

When the agent is installed via ZENworks for a user who is only a member of the local users group tries to launch the ZPM control panel applet, they get an error
Registry::Init::RegCreateKeyEx failure opening
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Patchlink.com\Gravitix\Agent: Error 5(0x00000005):
Access is denied
