Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management - ZCM10
Situation
Registration key is required if default rules are not
enabled.
If the default rules are enabled as show in the following
screen shot then a registration key will not be required.
The following error occurs when running the zac reg https://zcmserver.kfinlayson.com:8443
command.
ERROR:
Unable
to register with the server at:https://zcmserver.kfinlayson.com:8443.
Required key is missing in the request. Server message Rule Based
Registration is turned off, no registration key was provided while attempting to register host: L00000000700573

Resolution
A registration key is recommend for registering workstations. For
