Environment
Novell iPrint for Linux Open Enterprise Server Support Pack 2
Situation
With Printer Pooling on Linux enabled, the following symptoms will
arise after a few days.
The Print Manager on Linux will stop printing.
The default iprint page will not load (http://[IPorDNSofiPrintServer]/ipp)
PsmStatus page will not load (http://http://[IPorDNSofiPrintServer]/PsmStatus)
iManager stops working.
Typing this command shows the ipsmd (process for the Print Manager) is defunct
ps -ef | grep ipsmd
Restarting the server will cause printing to work for a few more days, but the problem will return. Disabling Printing Pooling will cause these symptoms to not occur.
