Situation
CAPTURE CR= does not work on NT/2000/XP/2003 workstations or servers.
Error: CAPTURE-4.15-453: This utility is unable to create the capture file in the specified directory. Try again. If the problem persists, notify your network supervisor.

Resolution
The CAPTURE CR= command does not work with any NT based operating system (NT4, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 server, etc.). There are no plans to make the CR= command work with NT and beyond.
The CAPTURE CR= command works with Win9x operating systems.
If you have a need to print to a file from a DOS application, please use an internet search engine of your choice and search for a third-party, non-Novell solution. There are third-party solutions available that allow you to write your data to a file.
