Situation
Symptoms
EXT2/3 Volumes disappear after reboot
Disk containing EXT2/3 volumes shows as free space
Disk containing the EXT2/3 volumes is managed by NwSegMgr instead of the DosSegMgr after reboot
/dev/evms does not show affected EVMS Volume in file listing
After reboot EVMS Disk taken over by NWSegMgr and existing data lost
EXT2/3 Volumes disappear after reboot

Resolution
The following solution is for
non-clustered EVMS volumes. See TID 3003435: How
to create a cluster resource with a native Linux filesystem for
information on working with clustered volumes.
